Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility
Donley's, a large Cleveland-based commercial construction company has an opportunity for an experienced Accounting/ Financial Analyst. The candidate we seek is skilled at effectively and persuasively communicating analysis and recommendations to improve operating performance and profitability. In addition to these attributes, the ideal candidate would have 5 years of experience in Accounting/ Finance with a minimum of 2 years performing financial modeling and data analysis. This position reports to the Controller.
Additional Areas of Responsibility
Assist Controller w/ reconciliation & close process
Perform journal entry adjustments
Annual budgeting process
Interpret & present monthly/quarterly financials & analyze results
Research & prepare variance analysis & explanations
Develop financial analysis & recommendations for strategic plan; support decision making process
Prepare board & financial presentations
Implement Business Intelligence Tool & Sr. Mgt Dashboard reports
Play integral role in monthly job cost review; provide summary report for sr. mgt indicating job profitability trends & provide actionable info
Other Information/Requirements
•Accounting/Finance B.S. degree
•At least 5 yrs experience in Accounting/Finance with minimum of 2 yrs performing financial modeling/data analysis
•Month-end reconciliation experience & close process including journal entry adjustments
•Ability to analyze & present data to aid executives in strategic planning decisions
•Experience in a Microsoft Windows environment demonstrating advanced level Excel knowledge
•Previous ERP system experience preferred
