Speaker: Bill Hocevar, CIH, CSP

Bill Hocevar (Great Lakes Construction) - Bill is a certified safety professional
and certified industrial hygienist and has a master’s in chemistry with 20 years of
experience in safety. Responsibilities include direct oversight of transportation, legal,
worker compensation, commercial risk management, industrial hygiene, and EHS
divisions. Bill has been named Safety Professional of the year and led his company to
be named “America’s Safest Company”, been named The Best in the Nation for Safety
Programs and Implementation by AGC of America four times and won the Liberty
Mutual Golden Fleet Award. Bill currently is the Chair for Ohio’s AGC Safety
Committee, holds a Board of Director seat for the Greater Cleveland Safety Council,
has been appointed by the Ohio’s Speaker of the House to the Underground Technical
Committee, is the Chair for the Construction Safety Council Alliance, and was on the
Laborers Local 860 Apprentice Advisory Committee. He serves as an adjunct professor
at the Ohio BWC, Lakeland Community College, and Kent State
