Stop The Bleed is a course by The American College of Surgeons. Life-threatening bleeding can happen in people injured in serious accidents or disasters. Instead of being a witness, you can become an immediate responder because you know how to STOP THE BLEED®. It is a Powerpoint presentation followed by hands-on training. Our lead instructors name is Ken Hehnen:
- Retired Lieutenant,
- 29 year Firefighter/Paramedic from North Olmsted Fire Department
- Started career as a Cleveland EMS Paramedic NOFD
- EMS Officer, two time firefighter of the year, and graduate of the Ohio Fire Executive program
- Upon retirement, took a position with University Hospitals EMSI, serving as a special event paramedic and instructor.
- 30 plus years experience as an instructor.
Rich Mecklenburg:
- 31 years, and counting Firefighter/Paramedic of North Olmsted Fire Dept.
- 25 yrs of instructing.
Drew Kline:
- Paramedic/EMS Coordinator/instructor for UH
- EMS Training and Disaster Preparedness Institute
Cost is $25.00 per person for Construction Safety Council Members.
