Scott Marous, Sr.
Chief Operating Officer - Marous Brothers Construction
Scott Marous Sr. is one of the founding principals of Marous Brothers Construction. From 1980 to 2020, Scott and his brothers worked together to build the company into one of the most prominent construction firms in the Midwest. In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Scott was responsible for the overall field operation of all Marous Brothers Construction projects including negotiating with and on behalf of skilled trade Unions.
As a Master Carpenter with a passion for this craft, Scott recognized the importance of establishing and maintaining a reputation for providing a high level of craftsmanship and quality construction down to the smallest detail; so much so, that he made consistent delivery of that expectation a companywide mission. As a skilled trades advocate and leader, Scott is admired for his wisdom, keen insight and assured project management, which are all key elements to his established business acumen.
In addition to running multiple successful companies, Marous was active in supporting the construction industry. He was a member of the Construction Safety Council of Northeast Ohio, CEA’s Political Action Committee, president of the Residential Carpenter Contractors Association, and served on CEA's Board of Directors from 2011-2014. He served on CEA collective bargaining committees and as an appointed trustee to the:
- Carpenters’ Health and Welfare Fund (1992 to 2014)
- Ohio Carpenters Joint Apprenticeship and Training Trust (1990 to 2022)
- Carpenters’ JATC Advisory Board - Northeast Ohio (1990 to 2022)
