Miami-based Arquitectonica has designed a new office building and private museum in Miami. It will use concrete that has glass-fiber optics embedded in it that creates the illusion of translucency while softening the structure's appearance. The choice of concrete will set off a piece of art to be featured there, a 200-foot-long undulating steel sculpture. The museum will be shaped in the form of an anvil and raised atop a platform, which will also showcase interior lighting that filters through the translucent concrete at night.
