Here Are the Winners of the NE Ohio Building Excellence & Craftsmanship Awards

Several commercial construction projects across Northeast Ohio were recently recognized for their excellence.

The 2021 Building Excellence and Craftsmanship Awards, hosted by the Construction Employers Association and several other partners, highlighted projects completed in Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake and Lorain counties in 2019 and 2020.

Some of the projects recognized were:

New Construction Over $25 Million

  • The Lumen, Gilbane Building Company
  • Church + State Mixed-Use Apartment Complex, Turner Construction Company

Renovation Construction Under $10 Million

  • Cleveland Metroparks Rainforest Dome Replacement Improvement Project, Regency Construction Services
  • St. Ignatius High School Welsh Academy, Turner Construction Company
  • May Company, Warren Roofing

Renovation Construction Over $10 Million

  • Innovation Hub at Kent State University, Gilbane Building Company
  • Westfield Insurance Workplace Transformation Project, Turner Construction Company

New Construction Under $10 Million

  • Cargill Boat Loader Upgrade, The Great Lakes Construction Co.

The program also gave out the Apprentice of the Year Award, which recognizes apprentices who have demonstrated exemplary performance within their affiliated trade.
