Ohio’s private employers will pay nearly $132 million less in premiums to the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation next fiscal year under a 13% rate reduction the agency’s Board of Directors approved today.
The reduction for private employers follows a 10% reduction for Ohio's public employers that went into effect Jan. 1. BWC estimates public employers in the state will pay $14.8 million less in premiums this year as a result of that rate reduction.
