Lakewood Project Receives $250,000 Ohio Capital Budget Grant

Just as construction of the estimated $4 million Lakewood Intergenerational Community Center adaptive reuse project is set to begin, the city recently received a $250,000 Ohio Capital Budget Grant toward the project.

The former 18,000-square-foot Cove United Methodist Church, which was built in 1969 and sits on 1.7-acres at 12525 Lake Ave., will be home to the Lakewood Human Service Department. 

Earlier this year after an extended vetting process general contractor Infinity Construction and architect Moody Nolan were named for the project.
