How many years have you worked in the industry? 

30 this year!

What attracted you to the construction industry and what do you enjoy most about your job? 

The ability to see tangible results from my work and the variety of projects. I've lived in NE Ohio all my life and I have loved being a part of Cleveland's Renaissance & seeing the growth in the suburbs. I'm a proud Clevelander!

Have you had any mentors throughout your career? If so, who were they and how did they help you in your career. 

Tom O'Donnell & John Giles. They took a chance on me when I was pretty green & took me under their wing.

What advice would you give other women that are considering or new to the construction industry? 

Be prepared to be in the minority much of the time. Although a lot has changed since I started. If you're not naturally assertive, you have to learn to be. And don't be afraid to ask questions! I've found most everyone loves to help others learn.

Tell us what you like to do in your free time or give a fun fact about yourself. 

I love to travel, especially to our national parks, and I'm determined to go to Italy again. And any day spent with my 4 granddaughters makes it a good day!
