How many years have you worked in the industry? 

4 years

 

What attracted you to the construction industry and what do you enjoy most about your job? 

My favorite thing about working in the construction industry is collaborating with a diverse team - architects, engineers, owners, subcontractors, and more - all working toward the same vision. Seeing a project come to life through teamwork is incredibly rewarding. There's nothing like driving past a building and being able to say, "I helped build that."

 

Have you had any mentors throughout your career? If so, who were they and how did they help you in your career. 

I haven't necessarily had formal mentors, but I'm grateful for an incredible support system. My family, friends, and colleagues have been there every step of the way, offering encouragement, motivation, and unwavering support throughout my journey.

 

What advice would you give other women that are considering or new to the construction industry? 

To all women who are entering the construction industry - be confident! Believe in yourself, trust your skills, and never be afraid to speak up. Stay true to who you are, and remember that your perspective, and experience bring immense value to the field. There are no limits to what you can accomplish. Let's keep building, breaking barriers, and driving change together!

 

Tell us what you like to do in your free time or give a fun fact about yourself. 

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends, whether it's enjoying a night in or exploring new places together. I am always up for an adventure! I also have an energetic Australian Sheperd named Nala, who brings a lot of excitement to my life.

Fun fact: 

I recently launched my own photography business, Lexi Lee Photography! It's been an exciting journey, and while I'm still in the early stages, I absolutely love capturing life's special moments and making memories along the way!
