What attracted you to the construction industry and what do you enjoy most about your job?

With each new project, I am drawn to the challenge of actualizing a client’s vision and setting up the project management life cycle to see the final renditions come to fruition.

Have you had any mentors throughout your career? If so, who were they and how did they help you in your career. 

In this industry, there must be a team invested in the full cycle of a product and we each understand how to move through the design, development, and construction processes for a successful partnership. I’ve been fortunate to work with a knowledgeable business partner with a strong work ethic, and different teams throughout my career of collaborative vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.

What advice would you give other women that are considering or new to the construction industry? 

There are opportunities and different paths in this industry. Start on the path that interests you the most through a college degree, and where you are meant to land in this industry will unfold as you experience an internship, networking, and interviewing for your first position.

Anytime I can get together and laugh and enjoy time with family and friends, it's a good day.
