How many years have you worked in the industry? 9 years 

What attracted you to the construction industry? When I was younger my dad had a small remodeling company that introduced me to the construction world. I grew up going to projects with him and was inspired by seeing how a space could be transformed. 

What do you enjoy most about your job? I love that every day is a different challenge. In this industry no two days are the same which allows me to continue to grow and learn. I also enjoy being part of something that has a positive impact for others. 

What advice would you give other women considering the construction industry? Ask questions, work passionately and build confidence. Women bring a diverse and unique perspective to the male dominated field. 

What can be done to attract more women to construction? Women mentors to empower other women. A mentor to be honest about the challenges we face but to help build the confidence that they can tackle on anything they set their mind to. 

What do you like to do in your free time? In my free time I enjoy adventures with my husband and our two dogs. We love finding new parks and dog friendly restaurants!
