Marshay Anderson
Local 310 Laborers Union
Apprentice
Less than 3 years in the industry
Marshay Anderson is currently an apprentice for Local 310 Laborers Union.
Before becoming an apprentice, she attended the “Work Now” construction program with CEA/Urban League. While in this program, she gained three certifications and plenty of useful knowledge for when she’s out in the field.
After Marshay attended Work Now, she began working for Precision Environmental in July 2019. Since then she has earned three more certifications and participated in her first construction panel. Marshay plans to continue speaking with the youth/women about construction. In the future Marshay plans on being a field Superintendent. Marshay has an eight-year-old daughter and is very active in her school PTO. She enjoys traveling, shopping, and crafting with her daughter.
What would you change about the construction industry?
If I could change one thing, it would be to provide more training. Typically they want people who don’t know the trade and are willing to learn.
