Mason Contractors Association Awards Local 5 Scholarship

The Mason Contractors Association (MCA) recently awarded BAC Local 5 family member, Nicole Pishnery its 2021 MCA Scholarship. Nicole graduated magna cum laude from Baldwin Wallace with a Bachelors of Arts degree in 2014. Nicole's interest in construction stems from her respect and admiration for the people in the industry and the minds that design the structures and systems we live in. 

After working several years in an unrelated field, Nicole decided to to return to college and is currently enrolled at the University of Akron pursuing a second bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. She chose the STEM field that will fulfill her desire for a challenging career that will allow her to use her analytical and problem solving skills that will allow her to reach her full potential.

As a daughter of a bricklayer, she appreciates and realizes that we would not live in the world we do without the people who work in construction. The construction field interests her as loves to work with her hands and has a natural inclination towards building, fixing, and creating things.
