Gov. Mike Dewine Directs $237M in Federal Infrastructure Money Toward Local Bridge Projects

Gov. Mike DeWine announced Friday, April 15 that he will put more than $237 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law toward fixing local bridges -- more than triple the minimum amount set by the new federal law.
In a release, DeWine stated he will increase Ohio’s yearly allocation for local bridge projects by $47.5 million per year for the next five years. That will bump up Ohio’s spending on county and municipal bridges to $112.5 million per year, according to the release from the Ohio Department of Transportation.
